Fort Frederica National Monument interprets the site of the British colonial settlement Fort Frederica. The visitor center exhibits tell the story of pre-colonial inhabitants, Spanish missionaries, the British fort, African American enslaved people, and Gullah Geechee residents. Exhibit features include a 1730s tavern, a map of the natural resources of St. Simons Island, and an archeological wall embedded with artifacts.
