Interpreting a unique and ever-evolving historic site along the Old Santa Fe Trail.

Originally a trading post along the famed Santa Fe Trail, the Kozlowski Trading Post expanded over time to accommodate changing needs. The westernmost battle of the Civil War occurred nearby at Glorietta Pass, and the site served as a makeshift hospital for wounded soldiers. In later years, it became a working and recreational ranch.
New exhibits lead visitors through the various eras of the site’s history and paint a picture of what life was like in this beautiful, remote setting. As a result of close coordination with NPS staff and local Historic Preservation Officers, the design complements the historic structure.
